Last night at an event celebrating all that is great and good about Scottish food and drink,  Nigel Owen, Deputy Chief Executive of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh presented the audience with a glimpse of the early stage plans for a major investment into our facilities. The aim is to modernise the Conference Centre, making the space light and airy, improving delegate flow throughout the facilities and creating an independent disabled access into the buildings from Queen Street. The refurbishment will ensure we have a first-class venue suitable for the next 25 years and will enable us to maximise the use of technology to further improve remote access to events in real time and so enhancing services to our clients. On the 22^nd of October the Royal College of Physicians of Scotland’s venue spaces will be all aglow for a celebration of Scotland’s larder.  Hosted in partnership with Prestige Venue and Events, guests will enjoy a food tasting and networking evening to celebrate all that is great about Scotland’s Food and Drink.

 James Withers, Chief Executive of the industry leadership body Scotland Food and Drink and Stuart Turner, Events Director for Event Scotland will address the invited guests and the audience will also be amongst the first to hear of an exciting announcement from the RCPE.

The grandeur of the New Library provided the perfect mystic location for our clients Filming Scotland to shoot the 2014 Ryder Cup Team USA’s official sponsor Omega, sponsorship advert.  Gracing the stage was an elegant eagle, with its piercing eyes and magnificent wing span looking quite majestic in the surroundings.  Enjoy watching the drama unfold.

The City of Literature Trust are hosting a day of exciting, fun and informative events to celebrate Robert Louis Stevenson Day on 13 November.
